I have introduced Zamzar.com on one of my previous post named commonly used PDF Converters and Creators. Here I would show the details about the service of Zamzar and, particularity of how to convert documents from PDF format to word format.
When landing on the website Zamzar.com, we would find that it provides four free services for online users. They are “convert files” “download videos” “send files” and “Manage files”. Which are useful if we have simple requirements about document conversion and video downloading? Here I would put the emphasis on the file conversion, saying “how to convert PDF to word”
Firstly, let us have a glance about the operating panel.
We can clearly see that the conversion steps have been divided into four. And here are what you need to do.
Step 1: Select the file you want to convert. There are two ways: you can upload your PDF files from you local files or input a address which locates the PDF file. Once you can only upload one file and the size should be less than 100MB, and as the larger of the size, as the time consuming of loading would be longer.
Step 2: Choose the format. Actually, there are some other formats for us to choose if needed. Here I just take Word doc format for instance.
Step 3: Enter your email address for converted file receiving. When the file is converted, the system would send you a email with attachment which include the converted Word documents.
Step 4: Click “convert” button and then have a cup of coffee and the system would do the rest for you.
The service is useful but it has some disadvantages:
1. It would be not safe to upload secret PDF files to the server.
2. It can only convert one file at a time.
3. It depends on your speed on the Internet.
